Material Request

Can't find what you're looking for at our library? You can get the material you need by either requesting that we borrow the title from another institution or making a suggestion that we purchase the title.

Borrow the Material

Borrow from LINKin partner libraries
LINKin is a resource sharing partnership between Naperville Public Library and nine other partner libraries. LINKin service provides Naperville Public Library card holders quick access to the collection of all partner libraries when items are not owned by the Naperville Public Library or are checked out. Read more about using LINKin.

Request from other Illinois and out-of-state libraries (ILL)
Most of the time, we can borrow materials from other Illinois libraries for free. Read more about using Interlibrary Loan. If you would like to make an Interlibrary Loan request, please fill out the request form.

Please note: LINKin requests, Interlibrary Loan service and Material Purchase requests are for Naperville Public Library Card holders ONLY.

Suggest a Purchase

The library attempts to purchase materials you will be interested in, but sometimes we miss something. If your suggestion fits our materials selection policy, we will get it and notify you as soon as the item is available.

  • Material requests will ONLY be considered for items which are currently published or released.
BEFORE suggesting a purchase

Please note: Material Purchase Requests require a MINIMUM of two weeks to process
