"Find Your Voice" during our Summer Reading Program happening June 1 through August 15!
Scream and shout because the Summer Reading Program is back! Whether you have a library card or not, readers of all ages, from birth to adult, can register for the Summer Reading Program. Set goals, read books, and earn prizes all summer long!
Starting June 1, register online through our Beanstack Reading Program platform then pick up your Summer Reading Program Kit at any of our three Library locations. These kits will include a reading log and the first three prizes your child will win when they complete each reading level. You can also choose to register in person.
The goal of the Summer Reading Program is to read a little bit every day. Caregivers should help each child set their own daily reading goal. This could be reading for a set amount of time each day or reading a certain number of books, pages, or chapters.
Each day your child meets their reading goal, they can log their daily reading online and color in one of the sea creatures on their reading log. After they have finished each level of reading (12 days/12 sea creatures colored in), you can give them the corresponding level prize provided in their Summer Reading Program Kit.
Caregivers are responsible for distributing Level 1, 2, and 3 prizes. You must return to the Library to receive the Level 4 prize (a free book to keep!) and be entered into the grand prize drawing.
Level 4 prize books will be available for pick up starting Monday, July 17.
Parents: If you would like to create a Family Account, please register yourself first and then register your children under your account.
How It Works:
Register for an account starting June 1. You may use the same account information from previous Summer Reading Programs, Winter Reading Programs, or 1000 Books Before Kindergarten.

You can register online through our Beanstack Reading Program platform or in person at any of our three locations. This year, teens are encouraged to read at least 15 minutes each day. You’ll earn a prize for every five hours you read or listen to books.
Participants can earn up to three prizes, including a free book to keep, a reusable tote bag, a multi-colored pen, or a tumbler for all your on-the-go drink needs. Feeling empowered to read even more? For every additional five hours of reading, you can earn an additional entry into our grand prize giveaway!
Once you've completed each level, you can head over to your nearest Library location to pick up your prize in-person or via curbside pick-up!
