Early Literacy

Naperville Public Library wants every child in Naperville to be given the best possible chance to succeed.  This is why we believe learning to read begins at birth. Our staff uses practices developed by the Public Library Association's Every Child Ready to Read® initiative.  To find out more about the Library’s early literacy services, including presentations to parents and teachers, please contact a children's services librarian below.

Plan a Visit to the Library

School, preschool, daycare, and scouting groups are welcome to visit the Library. Visits last about 30 minutes and include a storytime and a walking tour of the Children's Department. Please schedule your visit at least two weeks in advance.

Due to ongoing renovations at Naper Blvd. Library, group visits will not be booked at that location until renovations are complete.
