Renewals
Online | By Phone | In-Person

Materials that have not been reserved by another patron may be renewed up to three times. Each renewal period shall be the same length of time as the initial loan period. 

  • Most items may be renewed. Renewal does not pertain to eBooks.
  • Renewals are the same as the original checkout period, three times only, if no one is waiting.
  • Renewals are effective from the date the  item is renewed. 
  • Materials should be renewed before midnight of the date due to avoid fines.
  • If an item is renewed after its due date, a fine will be posted to your record.
  • A library card is needed to renew materials. 
  • Interlibrary loan materials cannot be renewed.
Materials cannot be renewed if:
  • They are reserved for another person.
  • They have been renewed three times before.
  • They will cause overdue fines to exceed $10.

To receive notification by email, login to your account and enter your email address in the email input box under "Profile".

HOW TO RENEW MATERIALS
Online Renewal
  • Select My Account
  • Enter Your Barcode and Pin (Usually last 4 digits of your phone number, unless changed)
  • A list of your checked out items will be displayed. You can sort it by 'Date Checked Out' or 'Due Date' by clicking on the corresponding button.
  • Select the title you want to renew by clicking on the check box and click the Renew Selected button.
  • To renew all the books just click on the Renew All button.
  • A confirmation message will be displayed.

Phone renewal:
You can renew your materials by using a Touchtone phone, by calling 630-961-0460.

In-Person Renewal:
Use our in-house library catalog to access your record, then choose the material you want to renew.
